Recommended tire size with tC rims

Hello everyone,

I've asked this question at Matrixowners.com, but I want a second opinion from the Vibe community. Since I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix XR with Eibach Pro-Kits and Tokico Blues, what size tires would be best with Scion tC rims? I've boiled it down between 215/50/17 and 225/45/17.

I always like a little wider tires and try to use the widest ones that will fit, just to give me some more cushion for the rim edges. My son has 245/45/17s on his 17" wheels, but that is just because I already had them. They are a bit wide. The next replacements will probably be 225/45/17s. I have 235/40/18s on my 10 GT, stock is 215/45/18.
