Hello, just introducing myself - live in metro Detroit and the proud owner of a 2007 Frosty two-tone! Had it for a few weeks, so far so good (aside from a fuse tail/relay issue). Came with the window tints and a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH installed from the previous owner. Around 85,000 miles on it right now.

Welcome to GenVibe Josh :D I just got done welcoming another member south on I-75 and here you are north on I-75 (based on my proximity 8-) ). Both of you have 2007 Vibes and about the same mileage. Glad to have you on board :D

Yeah, after lurking for a few weeks while I was researching on buying a Vibe, I picked up on that, haha.

Probably won't happen this winter, but depending if I'm staying in the snowy north for awhile, I'd like to get a separate set of snow tires, put the stock wheels on those, and get some nice alloys for the all-seasons, probably like a gunmetal or black to blend with the gray plastic.

Speaking of winter - does anyone have any recommendations for simple mods/tips to improve the driving, heating, or mpg of the car?

LOL! Yeah, we love pictures around here :P! Glad you picked up on that ;)!

I highly recommend two sets of wheels and tires. We have had seperate sets of wheels and tires for both our Vibes since we got them in 2009. It's nice to be able to keep the beautiful OEM 18s from getting destroyed by the salt, sand, etc. during the winter months.

As far as improving MPGs, the best advice I can give you is to make sure your tires are properly inflated and keep your RPMs under 3000 when accelerating.

If you have the patience and time .... I recommend B U T T warmers, AKA ... heated seats. :D Did this to one of my Vibes last Christmas break. here's the post : viewtopic.php?f=29&t=37760&p=426489&hil ... ts#p426489" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As an added bonus, especially in your case, you'll be patronizing a Michigan company not too far from where you are located. Go for it !!!!! ;)
