silverawd26 is right. It's probably your gas cap. However, the car needs to cycle through the computer diagnostic twice before it will turn off the light. If your not having any problems other than the light then just keep driving and if the light does not go off when you can get to the dealer get there ASAP.Shadow Realm

The problem with CELs is that they're so VAGUE. It could be a million different things triggering it.But as previously mentioned, the most common reason to throw a CEL is an improperly installed gas cap.If you have an AutoZone near you, the rumor is they will run a diagnostic and give you the error codes for free!

quote: just keep driving and if the light does not go off when you can get to the dealer get there ASAP.How long should Chazb just keep driving before he decides to get to a dealer ASAP - how often does the computer cycle through the diagnostic, is it every start, every couple minutes? (don't shoot me if it's in the owners manual )

Here is what the manual says:quote:Did you recently put fuel into your vehicle? If so, reinstall the fuel cap, making sure to fully installthe cap. See “Filling Your Tank†in the Index. Thediagnostic system can determine if the fuel cap has beenleft off or improperly installed. A loose or missing fuelcap will allow fuel to evaporate into the atmosphere. Afew driving trips with the cap properly installed shouldturn the light off.

On mine it took only about 20 minutes or so to turn itself off when my girlfriend filled my tank up. It hasn't happened since then though.Shadow Realm

Well I took it back to the dealer and they could find nothing wrong so they just reset the computer.
