Anyone golf???

I used to think that i wouldn't be caught dead playing golf. I was dead wrong!!! I played my first game last Sunday and by the third whole I was hooked!!! I've already played two other courses. My fiance thinks I love golf more than her now, lol. So my question is how many of you felt the smae way I did and then had their perception og them game changed when you actually pics up a club for the first time?

I try an play golf about once a week. Usually that means once a month though with my schedule. Down here in Florida, there's so many golf courses and you play all year around too. Not to mention that I am about 10 miles from TPC at Sawgrass. My friend works there and a few times a year I get to go for free, which is great considering that it's $300 per round per person at regular price.Shadow Realm

I used to think Golf was a old mans game. Then I played and was totally hooked. Withing a week, I was out buying my own gear, plunking down $$$.I used to think, "how hard could it be, the ball is just sitting there - its not even moving". Boy was I wrong.

Great course, I can't wait to play it. I think greens fees are 195. For my wedding I get to play Saddlebrook resort (where Pete Sampras, Anna Kornakova(sp) and Jennifer Capriati train in the off season for tennis). They have a killer golf course. I get to play it for only 60 bucks!!!! I'm there!!!

I love to play golf whenever possible. As a matter of fact, I just got back from playing in a scramble outing. It was for associates of where I work. We had a great time! I golfed with one coworker, my Dad and my Father-in-law. We shot a total of 3 under par. We could have shot lower, but the greens were really tough. Still, it was a perfect day here in Mid-Michigan to golf. Sunny and a high of 78. Shadow Realm, that is awesome that you get to play Sawgrass for free. That would be amazing! How have you faired on that 17th hole?

Yeah the 17th hole is pretty tough. The first time I played that hole I got an 11 on that hole. I've only played the stadium course 6 times and in that 6 times I have shot on the 17th hole an 11, 6, 3, 4, 4, 3. The other course they have is called the Valley course and I've got to play there about 8 times. Overall though, I love playing there but there are some really great courses around me when I can't get on there that I like playing just almost as much.Work is for the people that don't play Golf...I wish that was my motto and I was retired on a golf course playing everyday!!!!!!!Shadow Realm
