Hi All,

I've known about this forum for some time but have failed to register. I own a black 2003 Pontiac Vibe manual transmission with no bells and whistles. It doesn't have power locks, windows or even a hatch release, but for some reason it has a sunroof and a roof rack of all things! I originally bought it in April 2008 with 33,000 KM on it. It's now up to just over 112,000 KM and change!

Here she is when I purchased her:

Anyway, the clutch just recently went on it and I was looking on what to expect in the way of my repair bill, so I figured I'd register and say hi.

Oh I know. I lucked out getting it at such a low mileage. It was a repo. ;)

Welcome to GenVibe!!!

Clutch cost? Give or take $100 to $200 (retail) for the clutch and (depending on what shop) $600 to $1000 for labour.

$1060 all in after rear axel seals or something like that and another thing which I forget.

There goes my holiday... :(

Thanks all.

I'm now $1300 poorer. :( I wish it was an easy job or I'd have considered doing it myself. I'm not much of a car guy though.

I hear you on that! I'm glad I've been able to do all the clutch jobs on my Mustang or by now I would have paid like 3 times that! I've changed the clutch about 5 times and the parts are about $200-300 with flywheel turning, labor is 400-500 or so.

Welcome! Looks like you got a nice Vibe there!
