Have a base 2010 Vibe with the fog light housing but want to install non circular LED DRL here that will look good. SO MANY crappy looking stuff on internet it is confusing to know what is worth the money.

Thanks!

non circular LED
Can you be more specific on what you're looking for?

Do you mean LED strips or a bulb that fits in the housing?

Welcome to GenVibe. I'll assume you have a 2010 BASE Vibe which has the opening BUT no fog lights there at all? Now you want ideas of what/how to put something in there? Post pics and be more specific on what you're looking for and we'll gladly point you in the right direction :D

Either one , probably what ever is easier to mount and wire, prefer Strips and even strips under middle bumper.

Well... my Vibe has strips in the middle bumper.

My garage has more pics of them, but they are one of if not THE favorite thing I've done to my Vibe.

Thanks Kitt, question..... Can I use the Disable DRL intructions and and then wire these to my lights so they come on independent?

I asked if the Disable DRL works on 2010 Vibes, trying to simplify mounting and whether I need a separate button to control the LED's.

also wondered if I connected the LED's to the DRL's and take the "yellow DRL " and splice a button in there and control everything.

I disabled my DRLs and put these lights in on an independent switch. They can be on or off regardless of if the car is on or off.

Here's a pic of the LED strips I installed on my Vibe 2 years ago. They are still working great. Bought them at Walmart for around 20 bucks. They are approximately 12 inches long and have 12 LEDs each side. They were easy to install.

Here's the LED strips I installed on my wife's RX350. They are 24 inches long and have 30 LEDs each side. They are much brighter and cost 15 bucks on eBay. Also easy to install.

Here's the new Chip On Board (COB) LED DRL's I recently put on my 2006 Lexus SC430. They are awesome!

Another view of the DRL's on my SC430. These would look great and be easy to install on your Vibe. :D

Off Topic.... but Holy Krapole!  Platnium! which wood works did you crawl out from! been forever since ive seen you on the boards!?!?!

but yes your best bet is to go with those little strips of LED's and adhere them to the lower grill inserts or any place like that.

NascarXprt, I've been lurking about. Mostly just chillin' since finishing up school over a year ago. Enjoying the spoils of working full time (3 days/week) and spending time with my wife and my new Lexus SC430.

Regarding the LED strips, I think they would look great on any number of vehicles, including the Vibe. I'm using a remote switch for mine on the SC and they work and look great! Here's a youtube video and another pic.
