Newb 08 Vibe

Hello, I'm the new owner of a 08 Vibe 5 speed, with premium sound (just turned 40,000 miles). So far I've added Malone cross bars to haul my Kayak, Hidden hitch, tinted the windows and debadged. My only other plans are Husky liner floor mats, and some new Michelin Defender tires. I love the car except for the lack of power. Any suggestions? I've been averaging about 35mpg

Hi and welcome. It will be nice when you can post pics. There was a supercharger available from the dealer to add to the engine for more power. I don't know how popular it was and/or how many are left.

supercharger was only available for 02 to 04 from the dealer. I bought mine in 06 and it was not available due to drive by wire. Although, their are people on other forums selling the adapter for the supercharger. corolla9 has a guy selling the trd supercharger with the adapter.

Well, with 40K and a five speed, just make sure your AAA towing is paid up.

I'm not sure what your getting at plz explain? Thanks everybody for the comments. To post pics do I have to host them on photobucket or something what could be the problem?

'05 was fine on the transmission. It was the '03-'04 trans that was the issue.

I have a 04' base 5 speed and all I have had an issue with is a clutch. Still not bad for over 120K before it needed changed.
