Matrix front clip?

So, somebody pulled a hit&run on me the other night while my car was parked. A truck of some sort backed in to her- my headlights, hood and fenders are toast and there's some minor damage to the bumper cover. I can't see any damage to the guts and supports beneath the sheet metal/plastic. My insurance is liability only, so I'm basically looking at DIY-replacing my entire front clip. I had been thinking about swapping my front clip out for Matrix stuff anyway so if there ever was a time to do it, it's now.
I'm not asking whether this can be done (anything can be done) or whether it's practical (it's not- but the parts are slightly cheaper, oddly enough). But has anyone ever tried this? What kinds of problems would I be looking at as far as fitment?

I'm pretty sure nobody has done it before. But some issues I see are the character lines going from door to fender, along with the cladding. Another issue could be the cut from fender to A-pillar. Also, going from single-bulb headlamps to dual-lamp low and high beams could be interesting. Good luck! Do keep us posted.
