this for the computer ppl who know all this stuff.. Why is Yahoo chat so bad now with all the booter/virus junkies,i have not went in there in over a year,and i go to chat and some one sends me a virus and steals my account,which means by buddy list,email,etc.and reading all my stuff on the air,most of the things were junkmail or junk buddies ..Is there anyway they harmed my computer, or hacked into info on my computer,should i be worried that they have my yahoo acct..What can they do with it? is there away to stop these ppl,or has yahoo gone down hill? any input please....

It is quite possible. I would get some type of spyware software and install it. This will alert you if someone is accessing your pc remotely. Or install a firewall that will prevent all outside traffic from coming in. Delete your yahoo account and create a new one and I would also contact yahoo as well

i faxed my info to yahoo,but their is no way of getting a customer service #, that should really tell people something, iread other forums on this topic on cnet.com, and ppl never get any reply back..oh well live and learn...how much does the spyware cost? can i get it free off the internet? yahoo chat is full of criminals now, in every single room,its like a competition.

I've had the best luck with "Spybot Search and Destroy".It can be found here.
http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang ... wnloadAlso, installing a software firewall like Zonelabs' "Zone Alarm" can't hurt. There's a free version but I recommend the paid version. It's fairly cheap and a little more robust.
