Just wanted to say thanks for a very informative site. I just picked up a 2005 Vibe Base for my daily driver and have already picked up a great deal o useful information here.

My car suffers from three small problems that need to be corrected and 2 of them seem to be very common.

1) Recirculate/fresh air door is stuck in recirculate mode and just clicks when the button is pressed.

2) Passenger side door-check is broken off.

3) All of the finish is rubbed off a lot of the radio buttons. I'm guess whoever had it before used lotion on their hands alot or something.

Anyway.

90k miles
5-Speed
New clutch

Nothing special but here she is.

Welcome to GenVibe. You did get the hottest color BTW :D Wait till Brandon finds out that someone in his neck of the woods has joined us :) The manual 5-speed make it that more attractive. You'll enjoy this ride for many years to come. Good luck and enjoy the ride ;)

That little piece of metal connecting the door to the frame. it keeps the door from opening too far.

Cheaper to buy at a Toyota dealer than a GM dealer, and, the same exact part.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been driving the car for about 5 days now and she's still at a half a tank. Nice to be able to park the Suburban :)

Found a Door check for $25 at a local salvage yard. They are pulling it for me.

As far as the clicking- I'm sure you have found that post on here. Helped me to. Just did mine and I can tell you that it took a bit longer then I thought but needed to be done. My wife thought one day that some animal had gotten into the car when she heard the clicking. If you don't have time to make the repair just turn your recirculate off.
For the check- Broke mine to.
Radio- Buy a new one. Much better sounding and cheaper. 8-)
