Whats the deal with these electric superchargers? are they any good?

I don't care what anybody says, you WILL see a performance improvement with these cheap add-ons like this electric supercharger, the intake tornado thing, and those "performance chip" (read: cheap resistor from Radio Shack that promises 50 HP and 50 MPG.)
However please note that any and all gains with these mods come from weight reduction in your wallet, thus less overall vehicle weight...
They make it sound good yes, but run away....
