Has anyone removed the luggage rack from an 03-08 vibe?
How does it look?

That helps alot! Stripping the racks on the 1st gen. doesn't look as cool as i thought it would, at least not without a lot of body puddy

Yeah, That's better! I had never heard of a roof cap.

Found this. Has pics of the installed caps. Looks like you have to do some modding to get it to fit properly, kinda sucks for the price they are asking for them. I would love to get them though.

Thanks for the link. the pic's show exactly what is involved. Not sure i'm sold on the "caps". I was expecting them to be low profile to match the existing roofline.

I thought that as well. They dont fit flush with the roof at all.

From back when I had my XRS...

Is there a how-to somewhere? Or come someone start me off? Our "new" vibe needs the rack repainted...

EDIT: figured out how to get he caps off, is the only way to take off the side bars to remove the bases?

That looks REALLY good ! I guess since your caps are painted body color it blends in much better. What brand are they & did you have a hard time with fitment?
