I've been thinking of purchasing these items from Cosmo Racing.

Do you think it's a good deal? How difficult would installation be?
(keep in mind my knowledge of mechanics is very minimal)

I'll sell you a SRI alot cheaper than the cosmo and will give you the same gains. If you want a brand on it I've got some TRD or AEM stickers that will fit on it.
The Truth is these SRIs and CAIs won't give you much more than 2-3 hp gains regardless of the brand on the 1zz engines.

I have installed both an SRI and pulley on my vibe and I have to say that I love them both. I noticed a pretty significant performance increase (I can't attest to the hp gain though). I installed the SRI myself which was very easy to do. Just make sure you disconnect your battery and be careful with the map sensor. I had some help installing the pulley and would recommend getting it installed at a shop if you are unsure about the install. From what I understand, you can do some serious damage if its not done properly.
