Change factory speakers

Hi
I want to change my factory speakers (2006 Vibe) if it will improve things. I don't want to change the radio/cdplayer because it is a lease. Looking at the Polk db651s for all 4 and maybe a subwoofer. I use the cargo space alot so the subwoofer must be out of the way.
Any thoughts or recommendations for a system? Is the factory deck powerful enough for this?

I have the factory radio ( Moon & Tunes with the 200W amp ) with Polk DB651S in the fronts & DB651 in the rears. You dont have to use the shallow mounts in the rear. You will be cheating yourself out of sound if you use the shallows in the rear doors. They sound GREAT ! Very clear & the bass is pretty darn good for a 6" speaker. Even if your Vibe doesnt have the M&T setup the Polks have a high enough sensitivity rating to work well with low power headunits anyhow. When I installed the rears I used some soundeading material from
http://www.soundproofcow.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & it REALLY improved the bass on these speakers. 40 bucks for enough material for both rear doors. Good luck !

I dont have the moon system so I dont know what the wattage is. Would you recommend maybe the smallest of the polk subwoofers like say the 8 inch or just go without?

No prob. I dont know much about subs, im sure some other members can help you out with that. As far as speakers definitely go with the Polks.

The vehicle fit guide on the Polk site says i don't need the shallow mounts in the front door either.

After researching I think its best to go shallow in the front and regular in the back. All for only about $120 on Ebay.

What is the wattage on the factory deck? Should I boost it?
