It was a pleasure meeting Kitt222 in Hampshire the other day while he was on his way to the Erie meet. We realized not only did we both have 04's but both of ours was born the same month out of the same plant! That was pretty cool to hear that. Kitt222 had a very unique and sweet looking Vibe. Here are a couple of pics!





This is a picture as a truck driver almost hit both of our cars... My busted front end looks horrible.

Well I'll be heading back that way Sunday, staying overnight in Rockford. We could have a Chicagoland + me meet!

Great pictures. Erie is nice. I'll be sure to take many pics.

I think that would be a good idea to meet up with all the chicagoland area. Question is though can everyone meet on such short notice here in Illinois on Sunday.

I'd be up for a get together tomorrow as long as it wouldn't be too late in the day (I have to be up at 6:30 am Monday morning for work). Keep us updated with approximate times and location/s Eric and Nick !

I'm thinking maybe right off 90 and 47. There is a Culvers and Jewel here we might be able to meet at. Let me text Kitt222 and see what times he's thinking.

That would be fine with me! I am going to head out in a little bit (now that it's starting to cool off a little) to wash my Vibe so it looks respectable for tomorrow. Right now it is filthy and I am ashamed to even look at it, let alone let my fellow Vibe owners see it in such conditions .

You're not the one with the busted a$$ front end I'm still waiting for kit to respond to my text. Is there anyone else in the Chicago area that wants to meet that you may know?

Michelle (ponta2147) posted in the Erie meet thread that her and her husband will be heading home to Palatine tomorrow. I'm sure they'd be up to get together for a bit. I can't think of anyone else.

What about the woman from Schaumburg on Facebook? Also I just heard back from Kitt222 and he said he would be in the area about 6-8pm tomorrow night.

6-8 would be fine with me. Lets meet at the jewel osco off rt 47 just north of I-90 at 6:45. We can meet and hopefully kitt222 can make it at that time or around that time. Send me a personal tell with your phone number and I will try to cordinate as well.

It'll take me 9-10 hours to get to Rockford, which I'm assuming is close to the meet location. Give me the exact place. We will be on the road by 9am (possibly earlier) so we can be there at roughly 6pm. So we can have dinner and talk Vibes during/afterwards. I'll be staying at the Rockford Hampton. And I'll most definitely text Eric roughly thirty minutes before I get there. PM me your cell number, Carrie, so I can keep in touch with you too.

But today's meet was great! One stock neptune, two red Vibes, and three silver. So it worked out, for the sake of pictures. We got the pyramid-style picture. But you would have loved it Carrie. I'm bringing some goodie-bags from the meet back so you guys can partake in them.

6:45 works perfect for me Eric! Now that the weather has cooled down, it will be a nice ride up to 47 & 90 and perfect weather for a mini-Vibe meet! I will send you both PMs with my cell number as soon as I'm done with this post.

Glad to hear the meet went well Nick! Also glad to see the silver Vibes were well represented ! Oooh... goodie bags... sweet... can't wait to see what's in 'em ! Thanks for snagging some for us !

I got the Vibe washed tonight. It was so gross. Tomorrow morning I'm going to clean the interior and get gas (I haven't gotten gas in 3 weeks!) so I'll be ready to leave a little before 6 to head up to meet you guys. Looking forward to meeting you both! Nick, have a safe trip back from Erie.

If you guys want a nice place to eat thats cheap why dont we meet at 6:45-7pm at the next exit where we originally met Kitt? I-90 and rt. 20. It's 5 miles west of rt. 47 and we could just eat at the truck stop at T&A. Just an idea. Let me know what works for everyone, otherwise I will be in the Jewel Osco parking lot at the rear behind Culvers and the Mobil on the right side coming off of 90West. I have everyones number so I look forwarding to seeing everyone!

Why don't we just go ahead and meet up in the Jewel/Osco parking lot, then we could always cruise to the next exit together. Get some rolling shots on the interstate and all !

Thats fine with me but the problem is if you get off on 47 from 90, you can't get back on to go West. you have to take the back roads to 20 and 90. That's why I think if may be easier for Kitt. Easy off. Easy back on. For you it would be, come up 47 and take a left on 20 going west to 90.

If it's the Jewel-Osco in Huntly, I think I'll be okay. It's fine if I have to take a small detour to get back to I-90, and onward to Rockford.

Okay, so are we just meeting at the Jewel/Osco then?

I'm sorry you aren't going to make it Carrie. I would say for it to be easier for Kitt we just meet at the 20 exit. Kitt- It's the next exit past 47. This way you can get off and get back on easy. If you get off at 47 you will have to drive through town then take backroads about 12 miles (total) to get back on at 20 and 90. Let me know though. We can just meet at Jewel if you want I just think it will be easier at it's going in the direction you want to.

Just met with Kitt222 and Apple... Juice again on there way back to Minnesota. Had dinner, talked vibe and how the meet went. He said it was a great time and gave me and my wife a Jeggs bag of goodies! Thanks for who ever put that together! Was awesome! Have a safe trip Nick and Apple!

There's a black 09 GT parked near me now. I left him a GV card. He was admiring my Vibe as he walked inside.
