I just got a 2-tone AWD Abyss Vibe. I was reading some of the old posts regarding pitting on the lower cladding on the 2-tone Vibes. Many people suggested getting the Vibe splash guards. The ones on the GMGoodWrench site are $50 for a set of four. They seem to match the grey cladding. Can anyone confirm that they match? Also, if I buy them online, are they difficult to install (I am a novice at stuff like this)? Finally, is there a recommended site to get these guards? Thanks for your help.

I have a 2003. When you need to drill holes in the back, is it through the plastic cladding only, or also through metal? Thanks for your help.Also, any recommendations of a good, honest website to purchase the splash guards?

I bought mine directly from my dealer. 60$ (cnd) taxes inclused and 30 minutes of my time to install them.

I ordered some things from http://www.partszoneonline.com and was very pleased with the price and service, took a little long imo (10 days) to receive my order.

I have them on my monotone and I really like them. I got them from my dealer also. The front ones are easy to install, but the back ones require you to remove each rear wheel to drill the holes. 2 holes per rear splashguard are needed to be drilled, not 3 like the directions say. The very bottom one is already there, just remove the body clip from the underside and insert the new one that comes with the splashguards into the existing hole. The front ones took me 5 minutes total, the rear ones about 20-30 minutes total.

I got my splash guards from 1stPontiacParts.com last week. They were $18.48 a pair, the cheapest I found on the net, and much cheaper than the local dealer (which wanted $25 for a pair). I just installed the front ones -- real easy. I am waiting to install the rear ones. I didn't have the pitting on my cladding in front of the rear tires, and figured if I put on the front splash guards right away, I could avoid that problem. I was thinking of asking my local gas station to put them on for me, since they could easily put the car on the jack, remove the tires, drill the one hole on each side and install them. What's a good price for them to install the rear ones?
