What's up all-

So I'm not really the mechanical type and I need to take my 2003 Vibe somewhere to get a couple things fixed (driver side window came "out of the track," one of the door handles broke off) and some regular service - wheel alignment, oil change, tune up, etc...

I don't have a regular mechanic I go to and have been wondering both about GM (or Toyota??) dealerhips and some of those national/regional chains that do repair/service.

Do the GM or Toyota dealerships service Vibes? Are any of those chains even worth bothering with or will they just do a bunch of mediocre work and charge me too much for it? If it helps, I'm in the southwest Florida area.

Any suggestions/tips welcome.

Thanks

Hi: Yes you can take your Vibe to either Toyota or GM dealers, or national chains. The Vibe is one of those "can be fixed just about anywhere" cars.

Try this website: http://www.cartalk.com/content/mechanics-files" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm in the southwest Florida area - Naples/Fort Myers...

Oh, and any idea if that whole driver window recall thing is still valid? Just a couple weeks ago my window came out of the track and almost dropped into the door...
