Confused about adding AUX input to OEM head unit

I've been searching the forums trying to figure out the best way to go about adding an AUX input to my 05 vibe single CD head unit. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there, so I'm really unsure how to proceed. The FM modulator solution seems less than ideal, and I'm not so keen on opening up the HU and spicing in/soldering a line to the stereo (but would do that if I have to). What do I need to buy so I can just hook up an input to the wiring harness? Most of the links to products are from 5+ years ago and no longer work. Also, has any one successfully added an aux line to the same head unit? What was your experience? Thanks for any help!

Call enfig car stereo.
I got mine from them. Super friendly and helpful.
I had to wire to wires to get my ipod controler to work.

this is what we use at work to add an AUX in to a factory deck. It gives you a standard 1/8" mini (headphone) jack in which you can plug an iPod/iPhone or any other MP3 Player

It plugs into your antenna & blocks out all radio stations while the unit is on
