I'm looking for those 2ZZ Vibe GT owners from the early years. I'm looking for the pros and cons of owning an automatic Vibe GT. Would love to hear your opinions.

I didn't think there were any automatic GTs sold prior to the 09 models?

The 03 automatic GT wasn't worth it. The drivetrain really sapped out the power.
Which is why it was only offered for the 03- to the beginning of 04 model year.
They are not completely worthless, but the negatives out way the positives.

For some reason I thought the vibe had an auto version from 03-05, but after reading your reply I did some checking, and according to edmunds, you sir are correct.

I also was under the impression that there were no automatic GT's for the '03 model. I've been searching around and have never found one, but i learn something new every day!

You would have a better chance at finding an XRS automatic from 03
I found two forsale on cars.com last night.
The 2zz is nice but paired with an automatic for that first year was a mistake.

He is wrong and right. While there may not have been a vibe, there was a matrix
they did make an automatic xrs in 03

As mentioned on matrixowners, there is no 2zz auto GT. Also, the auto XRS/GT-S is a complete waste of resources...

I too thought that only the 03 Matrix had an auto option with the 2ZZ and only for the 03 model year, while the Vibe GT was always manual only. The problem with pairing the auto with the 2ZZ was that the 2ZZ had to be revved high to produce a lot of power, and more importantly for an auto, torque, so the auto would not be an ideal fit for such a high revving engine.
