Hey all, newbie here. I'm looking at a '07 Vibe w/ 107k miles (private seller asking $8900 FYI). I'm a long-time Civic driver and I wanted to ask what types of maintenance issues I should be aware of with a Vibe at this mileage. i.e., with the Civic the timing belt is an issue you have to deal with around 90k and that's a big expense. So, what types of things should I be aware of that should have been done by this mileage, or will need to be taken care of soon?
thanks in advance for any help,
Jordan

One plus on the Vibes is no timing belt! The chains on them last a good long time w/o replacement. There are several members into the 200K miles range on here, and even a few into the 300's with no or minimal issues. As long as these cars are maintained, they tend to run a good long while. Oil changes, coolant changes, filters, PCV valve, etc and they are good to go.

Welcome and good luck with your purchase!

I have an '08 vibe.
Still have factory breaks, clutch and belt.
It's been 108K+ miles. No issues what-so-ever.

These things were built to last.

Hi and Welcome

..You should also ask to see records (if available) that the valve clearance has been checked and adjusted if necessary, and also if the recall for the PCM has been done. You may be surprised there are Vibes that were part of the recall for the PCM that did not have it done. Good luck, All in all, the Vibe is really a nice car.
