Failure to yield..... Yup, that's what can happen.... I'm surprised she wasn't killed instantly.

She must have been so shaken up from the first accident that she forgot to look both ways or something, I hope she'll be alright...

Two different articles list two different years of Vibe. Based on the wreckage about the only thing you can identify is that it was a Salsa vehicle. This poor teen should have had a friend or other family member transport her from the first accident. It definitely played a role in the second accident happening

I don't think it was a Vibe. My first thought was it looked like a 09 or 10 due to the lack of body cladding and wheel trim, but the fender shape does not look like a 09 or 10 either, and the wheels don't match. The fender looks more like a G6 to me.http://images.nadaguides.com/j/9025.jpgEither way, it is sad for this girl and her family. We are always preaching to our kids to be VERY careful driving, especially when pulling out into traffic. A 17 yr old relative (BIL's BIL) was killed by a UPS truck when he just pulled out in front of it one day.

I think one article said it was 2008 Pontiac - did not mention a model. I doubt it is a Vibe. Many years ago I was there in my 2001 PT Cruiser - I got stares like "what is that?" 4 dr sedans and pickup trucks dominate farm country.
