GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts

GenVibe first went public on April 1, 2002. Today marks the 10th anniversary. Of the internet forums I have belonged to, this is the only one where I feel always welcome. I go through periods where I don't have anything in particular going on with the car, but I still feel compelled to see whats going on here. To me the car and this forum are a package deal, part of the overall Vibe experience. My Vibe has not been trouble free, but genvibe is a key reason I really like the car. You people here are a friendly lot. GenVibe is why I still wave at other Vibes I see on the road. My thanks to the moderators here, we members don't get to see how much they do behind the curtain to keep this place the way it is. And thanks to admin Mike Kowdley, without him, this place would only be a memory.So on this tenth anniversary, post up, post a picture of your vibe, or you and your vibe, post to say what the place means to you, or to just post something token like +1. If you're a lurker, today is a good day to sign up, and meet the friends you didn't know you have.

There is definitely something about this place that keeps me coming back 5 years after I traded in our Vibe, Sputnik. This site has been a wealth of information and full of friendly people. In contrast I barely go to the Rogue forum (not at all in 4 years), and only occasionally post on the Leaf forum. But for Genvibe I drop in almost every day even if I don't post every day. Its a great place and hopefully will be around for a very long time. Thanks to the members who keep this place active, friendly, and a fun place to be.

Here, here! I am the same way. Barely on the Mazda forum but like to pop in here and see what is going on. Happy birthday Genvibe, and here's to many more. Everyone else has said it so well that I'm not quite sure what to add, other than how proud I am to have become part of this community, and how I wish I'd signed up as soon as I got my Vibe. Here's a picture of me and the Vibe before it was officially mine, in early 2010.

Happy 10th, GenVibeI've been a member of a few different car forums (and lurk on plenty of others in my never ending wondering of things like 'is this car any good?) Nowhere else has had the quality of people on the site... Not to mention the same level of quality content. You guys are all great! I'm very fortunate that I found this site many years ago, words just can't express what the site has meant to me. Thanks Mike for keeping the place afloat, and thanks to the mods for everything you do.

Well, I met my husband (ColonelPanic, for the newbies) here...or, technically, at the Ohio meet in 2004. We got married in 2007 and will celebrate our 5-year anniversary in July. I still have my Vibe and don't plan to get rid of it anytime soon.Here's a photo of both of our Vibes together:
