Ignoring quality and everything else - and going all the way back to 'way back when' - which Pontiac do you think or feel was the best looking one ever made?Although I never owned one, the 1959 Pontiac Bonneville convertible is my favorite. What's yours?

I'm partial to the 65 GTO Hardtop. Favorite one I have owned was my old 70 Firebird.

1974 Firebird .... like this one I restored back in the mid 80's. This particular one had a '75 front end (turn sigs in the grille vs the bumper) and was the last year for the flat back window & the last year for all cars burning leaded gas Oh how I wish I still had this one. It was probably the best of FIVE GM F-body cars that I restored (1-'68 Camaro, 1-'69 Camaro, 1-'73 Camaro, 1-'74 Camaro & this only Firebird)

My 1995 Sunfire GT2.3L HO Swap with chip for 195HP2.6L bored and stroked Quad4 with M90 supercharger. In the spring time putting on the rims with my helper. The fall when the car was sideswiped, currently looking for a new driver. The stroker is going into my 72 beetle which is in the early stages of a ground up resto-mod. Sad day this was...

I'd say this is one of my favorites... And in typical GM fashion, you do what you do best -- finally get something right then kill it.

I like the Pontiac 6000 STE, sporty midsize 4 door with stunning pickup and the only Front Wheel Drive A-Body(Chevy Celebrity, Buick Century, Olds Cutlass Ciera and Pontiac 6000) that offered all wheel driveI also like the Fiero and Solstice Of course I have always been a Buick and Oldsmobile person ( I would kill for a mint condition Reatta convertible )

Sorry, Pontiac hasn't ever really excited me even though I lived through a LOT of Pontiac history. I remember when the Firebird was introduced in the mid 60's, nice looking car but for the same year, the Camaro had looks that totally trumped it! Honestly, probably the nicest Pontiac they made was at the end with the joint venture with Saturn, the Solstice / Sky twins. But even at that, the nose failed, Saturn has a better design! My first Pontiac EVER was a Sunfire Convertible, really, that was a rather poor excuse for a modern automobile!!Dave

I have to go with the 05-06 GTO, with the LS2, even though it was a rebadged Holden Monaro. It had somewhat subtle looks, a big engine and a 6-speed manual, not to mention a good-looking (in my opinion, anyway) interior. If I had the money and there was one for sale around here, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Then? '65 GTO (I'm fortunate my father has had one for 10 years, giving me a deeper appreciation). Now? G8 GXP. Pontiac finally got their act together with that one in time to get shuttered.

I bought that exact Firebird back in '67 and kept it for 13 years. Even after having two babies, we used to load that thing with the tent, cots, stove and everything else and it took us camping in northern Michigan. Then, well, the girls got bigger. That changed everything. Even my daughters, now in their forties, wish I'd kept it. Yeah, we all loved that car.

My Brother In Law (yeah, the idiot one, not the other one) had one of these for years. (1970 Bonneville Convertible) Coolest car he ever had bar none.... he traded it in for a VW JETTA!!!! That move made him no more intelligent in my book.Of course the girl (though there is a resemblance to his daughter) wasn't included with his, maybe that's why he traded it in? Ever seen his wife?? Ewwwww........Dave

But if I had to chose the most memorial Pontiac in my life, I would have to say the first time I layed eyes on a 1970 Trans Am.What a departure from the first gens, and they were HAWT in their time... still are imo. The first one I saw was white with the blue stripes and graphics. Our school bus used to pass a small Pontiac dealer every morning (I guess I would have been 12 or 13 then,) so I clearly remember when and where. How can you not love that combination along with that styling?

Here's the coolest Pontiac I have ever driven... My uncle restored one of these ('69) in that orange, er, "Carousel Red." 400 with a 4-speed, ram air, and even the hood tach. Loved the hidden headlights and gigantic spoiler on that thing. (well it was gigantic at the time, until the ricers came out with far bigger ones...)

MY very first car was a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird I bought in 2000. I liked it, even though it was a garbage 4 banger with a carbeurator. But it was bright red, and had the white convertible top, with the white (PVC?) interior. You could literally put the top down and hose it out. 250k miles and the engine just committed suicide. But my favorite pontiac would have to be something like a '66 Catalina.

1966 GTO convertible in a soft blue with matching interior. B-e-a-utiful. Along with that GTO is the 04 GTO, the G8 and, of course, the Vibe. Before owning the Vibe I never looked at, or cared much for, Pontiac. But now, after a life of being a Chevy kid, I realize Pontiac was awesome.

That's a tough one.....too many to pick, for different reasons.I like these....because they are in my garage I had a '71 Firebird Formula 400 that I was half way through the restoration on, when the opportunity came to purchase the SD. I really wish the wife would have let me keep the '71 too. I really like the more agressive front end the 70 - 73's had. It's cool seeing what the rest of you have, or have had. All great cars!

Love the coke-bottle shape, blade fenders, stacked headlights! I think it has a better "fastback" roofline than the Grand Prix of the same year. I actually have this exact same photo in my photobucket account from a prior thread about our favorite cars.

I attended from 2000 to 2006,so it was about the middle of 1 of them meets.Another time we had 1 of the 55Chevy's in the tent from the movie Two Lane Black Top.I have all the Dash Plaque's from them years & some of the various handouts.A VHS video of the 1st meet also that filmed. The wife & I attended all the meets in my old 94 Pontiac Trans Sport. This will be my last post here.

I thought there was some kit floating around that replaced the front end of the current Camaro with a front end that made it look like a faux Firebird?
