No way would I pay anywhere near that for an air filter. I bought some of the cheapie $5 ones off ebay. I'm sure they are not as "good" as the more expensive ones, but at least there is a filter. My other cars have never even had that. Others have cut up larger furnace filters and used them from what I've read on here.

What is the main purpose of a cabin filter? To stop debris? Or to absorb odors and tobacco smoke? I doubt it is fine enough to catch dust and allergens.

yeah that's like a $5 part. unless bill gates or some of his associates are vibe owners, i don't see anyone buying that

I did notice the $5 filter is a bit lighter and not as thick (fabric wise) as the original filter, but the way I look at it, we've survived all these years without a cabin filter, so why spend a lot on a replacement. The original on my 2010 had a lot of twigs and stuff on it, and it was getting pretty brown. At least having something in there will keep any leaves and stuff from getting chopped up and sitting in the AC ductwork forever.
