2003 base model, 147k miles, just moved my washer and then dryer in the back with room to spare! Still delivering about 35 MPG on the road, but the oil consumption is getting worse. Maybe a quart every 1000 miles?????? I have tried thicker oil with no luck, changed the PCV valve once but it seemed fine at that time anyway. May look at it again. Have not seen oil on the driveway or on the bottom of the motor, but someone suggested the valve cover would be leaking some and the oil gets burned off before hitting the ground????How about some other ideas on where to find the problem of oil consumption? The car has been WELLED cared for since I got it with 6k miles.George in Tallahassee

HelloGet yourself some leak dye from the parts store, it is used for tracking engine oil and AC leaks and buy a $5-$10 battery power blacklight. Pour the leak dye in and drive it for a few days and check for leaks with the black light

My Mustang was burning oil through the valves and it would go through a quart every 1,200 miles or so. I used some of the no smoke addative in the oil and it cut down on the consumption. If you can't see oil, most likely it is burning it. I could always see and smell the burning oil when my valve covers were leaking when it hit the exhaust. Good luck on finding the cause.
