New ride

Just picked up a new to me 2009 AWD with 17k miles. Promptly made a 2000 mile trip from Oregon to LA and back. Car worked great. Averaged 26 mpg with new snow tires. I'm curious about the GM warranty. Is it transferable to the 2nd owner? If so, where do you get the work done.? Not that I'm planning on much warranty work. I'm also looking at subscribing to XM. Given what I've heard, my best bet is to call and see if I can get a deal or a trial, since I've never been a subscriber.

The GM warranty as in the what it comes with the factory. Yes. Its transferrable. You get it worked on at any GM dealer. Most likely a GMC Buick dealer. As far as XM, yes, ask for the deal. Don't pay full price. If you keep OnStar they will also give you a deal. Nice ride!

I-5. Had a 3-year old so it needed to be the fastest route. I've driven 101/1 to LA before in a Miata. Great route if you can time it with no traffic. On this trip holiday traffic kept my speeds down in CA. Oregon still has the stupid 65 limit, so it's even slower here. Many bathroom breaks needed for the 3-year old.

Really I blame it on the kids when I drink too much coffee. LOL

Congrats on the new ride These cars are great for the little ones also YES, call XM and tell them that the dealership told you (a little white lie of course) that you get a 6-month trial (actually it's only 3-months I think) on used car subscriptions. Then when they offer the $5/month deals (or close to that) jump on it Keep us informed here on your progress. Just curious what this nice ride set you back $$$ ........... ?
