Officially a two Vibe family!

We bought my son's vibe 3 years ago, and when the time came to get another car, of course a Vibe was on the short list, I've been looking for one close by for the past 3 or 4 months, missed out on a couple of great deals on 06-08 vibes, but finally found a deal on an early 2010 GT, ($12,400) in the color I wanted. Picked it up tonight from a dealer, about 3 hrs away. Here are the dealer photos:It JUST ran out of warranty with 36,600 miles, but I saw no mechanical problems except for a broken radio knob, which was reported under warranty but not fixed so I'm hoping my local dealer may still be able fix it. The radio was the only warranty issue on record, so hopefully we will have many years of trouble free service. The person that owned it prior had a sub box in the back, that broke the hatch bottom plastic trim, so I'll have to look for a replacement at some time. But besides that, I'm happy with it.

...yours is the first other Vibe I've seen with the dealer "add-on" white pin-stripes like our 2009 Vibe.

Welcome From one "two Vibe" family to another. Looks like you got one heck of a deal and like another member on this site, one of the RARE 2009-10 red GT's WITHOUT a sunroof

Thanks. It was originally an Avis rental car in Dallas, then it was owned by a family in a small town south of Dallas. They may have installed the stripes, or had the dealer they got it from do it. I found a picture online from the original used car sales ad before they bought it by Googling the VIN, and it did not have the stripe. The dealer I bought it from did nothing to it but maintenance items, oil, filters, etc. before putting it up for sale. One thing I've noticed is the stereo on this thing is really nice compared to all the other car stereos I've had. Plus it still has an XM radio subscription active! I just need to fix that volume knob. At least it has the steering wheel controls.I was also looking at a no sunroof red 2009 GT in Tulsa with 29K miles, but they would not budge on their $14,990 price more than offering to pay for my plane ticket. I don't mind saving $2,500 for an additional 7K miles of use. Actually, the NADA value on both cars is about the same.

I cleaned out the garage this weekend to fit the new Vibe in. I can't stand to have a car sit outside a garage, so I made enough room to squeeze it in behind my Mustang. I figured out if I got rid of everything in the garage, I could fit 6 Vibes inside!

Whats going on with the Mustang here? Is it on jack stands or something? I thought it got rear ended at first. I had to take a second look, and I'm still not sure whats going on with it.

LOL! Yes it is on jack stands. Motor blew at 306,843 miles back in May 2011, so it is just a garage ornament right now. One reason I got the second Vibe. I needed to put it on stands to keep from flatspotting the tires, plus raising it up gives me just enough room to park the Vibe behind (and slightly under) the Mustang without actually touching the Mustang. That way I can still squeeze by behind the Vibe with the garage door closed. My wife hates it, but then she would not be happy unless the Mustang was gone. That ain't going to happen!

There are a few around the state available. I was looking for several months until I found this red GT in my price range. Almost got one from Brownsville, but then the guy jacked up the price about $3K! I've been on here since I bought my son's car back in 08, but now that I have one too, I'll be here more often!
