Good idea, but not likely to be seen by the general public.

I would expect high rolling resistance to be the biggest problem.

I am looking forward to whenever I finally stop having puncture-prone air-inflated tires on my cars. I'm very tired of paying to replace a flat tire every year or so.I'm wishing some company could find a way to make something like this mass-produced and affordable. When I think of all the other much less useful things getting R&D $ these days...

IT looks like the Michelin tweel idea. It's stupid because it's loud. Find a clip of it going over 30 miles per hour and it sounds like a can of bees exploding -forever.I still think the best way to get puncture proof tires is to make the road out of rubber and tires out of cement.
