57.1 center bore (too big?)

Post by 92blacktt »

So I mistakenly bought winter rims and tires with a 57.1 center bore (a lot of online sources quoted the vibe as having 57.1 instead of 54.1).Can I still use these wheels, or am I asking for trouble? I could always sell them.

You should be able to pick up a set of hub centric rings that will fix any issue. They are super cheap. Not sure how you go about figuring out which set to order, though. Maybe you could buy through a tire/wheel store and they'd make sure you had the right ones. Here is an example - but Amazon sells hundreds so make sure you find the one that fits your application.http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-...=8-16

Alternatives:1) Drive them without hub centric rings - You probably won't be driving the vehicle hard enough to harm anything2) Sell them 3) Go to a machine shop and have some made - Although this may cost a few nickels
