Well.. here is a couple pics of my Vibe.. All ready to battle, yet, another, winter. Here is it.. all "uglyish" in winter mode. Took these while I was at the airport today for the picture challenge thread. As you can see.. it is still lowered... but got the factory steelies on with some nobby winter tires on. The painted bug deflector is removed to perserve the paint on it. and you cant see it.. but I took my CAI out too. Did I mention I HATE WINTER MODE !!! lolComments or question are always welcome.

Looks bad a$$! I rather like going into winter mode. Only because my black-painted steelies match my Abyss paint.

Ready to swap out the wheels myself! Actually I think the vibe looks good even with the steelies when it's been lowered a little bit. This winter came around too quick.

If you've got decent snow tires, you should be ok. Ive been lowered since 2oo7.... I keep my avalanche shovel handy, only had to use it a couple times when Chicago had the blizzard

I'm keeping an eye out for it. I've been in winter mode for 2 weeks now - steelies and lowered, like yourself. I replaced my original rusty wheel bolts with some shiny new ones - it makes a decent visual improvement, IMO, and I don't feel quite as bad about losing my bolts in my move this summer. Bit of a drag that I can't put screw-on Vibe wheel covers now though (I didn't even think of that until the rims were on).

Me too.. except this will be my 3rd winter, and they were one-winter old when I bought mine.Quote, originally posted by bull77 »Not sure what drop you have but I've been on the ProKit (1 1/2inch) for 2 years and haven't had any issues with snow I haven't had any issues either, but that's probably due to staying in the city or on plowed highways during the snowy season, and keeping the car parked in blizzards.

I still haven't encountered any snow yet in Ottawa. I've heard there's been some flurries in the suburbs, but I haven't seen any yet.

Vibin' in a winter wonderland!Ottawa is gorgeous this morning. I spent 1/2 hour just looking out my windows this morning.I'm once again loving the way my car handles the snow...the tires, rear sway bar, spring set up, etc. I love gently breaking the car loose and getting it back predictably and enjoyably.
