Curious, what are the specs of the factory installed HU w/o M&T?Eg. RMS watts/channel, impedance, # of outputs, etc. Are there any links related to this question?

As far as I've ever been connected with, stock HU's are lucky to put out something like 10w per channel... But I've never had anything built in the 2000's yet except my vibe and Cr-v/ The Cr-v had a "120w premium stereo" on 6 channels (in 2004)... so... I doubt it's very much.

Wow 10 watts? Thats all? Thats not even RMS right? I have seen aftermarket radios for around 100 bucks on Crutchfeild rated 18 -20 RMS per channel....LOL

Generally aftermarket is always 20 per channel. each brand has their own set specs (that doesn't seem to really change per model of radio) I believe Alpine is the lowest at 15 per channel. But back to stock, yeah that's not even RMS. I believe someone said my M$T package is at 2ohms on each speaker (sounded like junk) so that amp had to go. Another thing about $100 radios is you have to consider S/N/R and auxilary inputs. I favoritize the usb cord on the back of the radio so you can have an ipod in the sunglass holder (usually) in this car I have it in the storage pocket by your left knee.
