oil viscosity difference between model years

When I had my 09 vibe, the manual said to put 5W-20 in. Now in my 2010 vibe, it says to use 5W-30. I am using the same 2.4L engine in both cars. Yet, on my 2010, the oil cap says 5W-20. What is going on here? I think that most new 4 bangers use 5W-20 if I'm not mistaken. Should I change the oil to put 5W-20 in?

There have been other threads on here about the 2009 - 2010 manuals saying one viscosity and the oil caps saying another. The general consensus has been to stick with the 5W 20.

I am wondering if it is a printing error in the manual since the cap is the same. To make sure it is the right cap the next time you are around a GM dealership stop and go to the parts dept and ask the part number and what it should say on the cap

Depending on year, either Toyota long life concentrated red or the newer Toyota super long life pink, 50/50 premix. Zerex Asian Phosphated HOAT (P-HOAT or POAT) 50/50 premix might be an acceptable replacement. Other Asian OEM's P-HOAT coolants and Motorcraft deep green P-HOAT would probably be acceptable too.Anybody signed up for a 2009 Vibe at the Gmownercenter.yahoo.com to see which manual they are pushing?
