I just finished installing my HU and there is no sound. I read the other post about a similar subject, but he had M&T. I have a base model 05. I did connect the remote turn on, but it doesn't want to work. the only thing i didn't connect is the dimmer wire because my HU doesn't have that feature. Everything lights up and functions work okay, but there is no sound from Radio, CD, etc. Any suggestions?

Okay, so I looked at the car harness and it seems there are a couple of extra plugs in there that do not go to the Schoshe harness. I realize there will probably be a couple for extra features and stuff that mine doesn't have but just wanted to make sure they're not needed. Will take pictures later

I think when I installed the stereo in mine the black plug from the stereo was the only one that didnt hook into anything.

I've got a spare HU kicking around. Gonna see if something didn't get messed up when I disconnected it from my old car. Can't tell why its not working.

What wires in the factory harness are not hooked to any thing in the Scosche harness?

I didn't look at everything but at quick glance there were at least 3 extra pins in the factory harness that didn't hook into anything in the Scosche harness. For instance, on the scosche, the pins for power, illumination, ground are on the top right and side, i believe there are 4 of them. But on the factory there are 2 more to the left of those pins and 1 pin below that don't connect to anything. Not sure about the 2 to the left but the one underneath is a red wire. But like I said, maybe the harnesses are the same no matter what factory HU you have, so they could be options that other HUs have.

Situtatuion Solved. My HU was causing the error. In my old car, I had to use line inputs because of the amp in that car. So for some reason I can't get it to reset and not push the audio thru the RCAs.
