I wonder alsoMy B_I_L is a civilian employee over at McGuire/Dix in the motor pool,maybe the sunken rides will wind up there.

did it say they hydrolocked? those trucks have a snorkle for the intake and exhaust which lets them do that. they probably got stuck on another car or something.

The depth under an overpass is almost always deeper than the road approach on either side.Both units are dead and both are floating. They are not hung up on a submerged car.You are right, no mention of hydrolock but then again, most people don't know what that is and there is no mechanic at the scene. Just putting 1 + 1 together is all.Dave

Those appear to be M1078's. Nowhere did I read that they were amphibious!

Though apparently not deep enough. True amphibious vehicles can operate on both land and in water, such as this guy:
