Duct Tape and Zip Ties

A couple of years ago one of the kids was horsing around in the Vibe and popped it out of gear, whereupon it gently rolled forward into the trailer hitch in front of it. Kid was fine but the nose of the Vibe was broken. The lower grills got popped out and a couple of the attachment points were sheared. Other than that no major physical damage (not enough speed to have the hitch reach the radiator. While changing the oil a couple of nights ago I finally started looking into how bad things were and whether or not there was a way to get the lower grills back in place to stay. Long story short - some creative drilling in the plastic, application of zip ties and duck tape not to mention a couple of new nuts/bolts here and there and the nose is finally back the way it should be. Managed to do it with only one zip tie showing (if you look hard enough).Amazingly, I found that this solved quite a few of the rattles and rumbles from the front end while driving!Gary In Massena
