New guy here! I was going to join awhile back as this forum was very influential of my decision to buy a Vibe.I just traded in my 2003 Chevy S-10 for a 2008 Vibe. Had about 60,000 miles and had two owners from the looks of it. Seems it started it's travel as a fleet vehicle (which explains it's mileage), then was sold to a small family who treated it well and moved here from Ohio. However, she runs nice and smooth and with the Toyota engine the extra miles don't concern me much, plus I opted for 3 year extended warranty which included 6 years of free oil changes.I have attached a picture..Her name is Eruka.

Welcome I didn't think two tones were available at the end of the first gen run! Not many 2008's out there as it was a short production run while making way for the second gen 2009 Vibes in April of 2008. Nice color. You won't regret this smart purchase. Again .............. Welcome

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome...tpollauf: I was unaware of the short production and I admit I was a little nervous at first with the two tone as it threw out a few customization ideas that I had (black alloys wouldn't look so good haha). However, I do intend to find some sorta alloy wheel that will fit the nature of the car, and I have already installed a new stereo and bluetooth system. I test drove an 09 and i'm not 100% sure I would have had such an easy time getting to the wiring harness and such with the that model haha.Anyway, I love this car and plan to keep it as long as I can.

I mean I guess you paint just about anything, but I have never seen anyone with painted cladding. It's an interesting thought..Quote, originally posted by jkm311 »Welcome, and I disagree! Clash!Well I am thinking maybe a gunmetal type color may look good, but then again I have a relative in the salvage business so i'm looking for standard vibe alloys to get me by until I make the big leap. I just can't stand plastic hubcaps haha.
