Fan Speed

Post by MotoAce51 »

My wife is making me ask about the heater/ ac fan. Anyways, The Vibe has off and 4 speeds. Speed 1 & 2 barely do anything. Then when switched to speed 3 the fan is really high, and then 4 is max. There is no medium. Should there be a better transition between 2 & 3? 1 - does nothing, 2 - does nothing, then the fan feels like high. Anyone else have this issue?

There is a resistor pack that controls the speed of the fan. I believe it's mounted behind the glove box. It's a $30 part. Change one on my minivan with the same exact problem. I'm sure somebody has a more precise location and cost. Here's a link http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=36099
