Crankshaft Sensor

Hi All -Long time no talk! Its been a few years since ive been here, but once again im turning to the experts for some advice...The other day I was driving home in my 2009 GT with 68k miles, and randomly the CEL came on, the traction control light came on, and the VSC off light started flashing. I didn't hear anything different in the engine, and couldn't tell anything different. I decided to stop at Auto Zone, and they read the code of P0335 which is the crankshaft sensor circuit.Today I brought it to the stealer, and they reassured me thats what it was, and apparently its not part of the 100,000 mile warranty (more on that later). I filled up my tank yesterday, and found that 97% highway driving, I only got 24mpg driving on average about 70mph...Anyone have any ideas if this might be related? The guy at auto zone asked if it had been missing at all, but I havent noticed anything. I did however notice tonight after I picked it up that it does seem to have a rougher idle, but this could also be that I am paying closer attention. So when I got the call from the stealer that they re-found and cleared the CEL, they told me that the replacement crankshaft sensor was not part of the 100,000 mile warranty, does this make sense? I demanded to speak with the manager, and he told me that he would call GM tomorrow and fight for me as this is their policy. Has anyone ever heard of that? They replaced a wheel bearing 3 months ago, but wont replace an engine sensor???Anyone have any ideas on this? is it really the crankshaft sensor? or could something else be an issue? Any one experienced this themselves? The dealer wanted to charge me $350 to replace this ($118 for the part and 2 hours of labor)Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks everyone!
