Neo Ion Ipod Interface on 2004 Pontiac Vibe

Has anyone installed a Neo Ion Ipod adapter on their 04 - 05 Vibe? Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Seems like a straight forward plug and play operation, but nothing happens. Do I need to connect the yellow POWER and the blue GROUND cables as well (it states in the manual that for some models it's not necessary). I'm not very handy, so apologize for the last question.

Which model do you have? What do you mean 'nothing is happening'? Is it not recognizing the unit? Does the radio work at all? Do you know the product # for the wiring harness you have? The manual specifies which ones need the yellow and black wires wired into the power and ground. If it has DIP switches, have you checked to ensure they are set correctly? Per the NEO website, settings for the 2004-2005 Vibe should be 1,3,8 ON or 2,3,8 ON (config 7 or 8 in the manual I found online for the PODGM3V6).

An update: I called the ION guys and they confirmed that for this model I have to connect the 12V cable - will attempt to doit later today. Radio works fine, but the aux button, which is supposed to switch between iPod and radio doesn't do a thing. I hop the 12V cable connection fixes it. I was hoping that another GV member has done this and post instructions - maybe I'll do it.
