New member here. I recently bought a 2005 Vibe base with 64k mi. for my father-in-law's use so I thought I'd join up here. I've already availed myself of this forum while looking for a used Matrix/Vibe. So, you have been helpful to me already! The VIN decoder was nice; it helped me decode what engine I had so I was able to add the correct vehicle to my AllDataDIY account.I bought the vehicle for $6000 from a dealer in Sacramento. It had been totaled in NV, but the only damage was to the driver-side fender; no frame, drive train, suspension, etc. By Google'ing the VIN I was able to come up with photos of the original auction sale of the vehicle in post-accident shape. It looked like both the driver and passenger-side airbags deployed, so this is what must have pushed the damage value to the point that the vehicle was totaled. The dealer repaired all of the damage and replaced the airbags, so we got a pretty decent deal IMHO.I've been a fan of the Matrix/Vibe since its inception. I think they are a great bargain for the features and quality. So, thanx for the forum and I look forward to participating.
