Everyone pray for these people in Joplin (SW MO), NE OK, SE Kansas, NW Arkansas. We had a lot of bad storms hit the area with more coming. The bad thing in not many homes in this area have basments.

My son was in Joplin Saturday to help train and open a new business. The store is gone but his friends and co-workers are fine

Yeah, when I heard about Joplin, they were saying the deaths were unknown, I knew it was going to be bad. Very sad. We had one just south and east of us in North Minneapoils that did quite a bit of damage over a 3.5 mile long path thru an older heavy residential area. Luckily we all have basements up here and so far only one person has died. I had debris from 5 different houses in the yard. I could tell by the different shingle colors and I am about 5 miles from where the tornado hit. There was even a piece of an old 2x4 that was stuck in the ground at a 45° angle in the neighbors yard. Freaky that the debris can travel that far.Edit: Glad your son got outta there before the storm hit, Rob.
