Well guys, I'm about to jump off the Vibe train.. I've been convinced enough by Ford to buy some new blue oval. Last year I was going to go with a VW Golf TDI, then the Focus showed up, and well, went with that instead. I believe it's a pretty nice car considering it's a focus.Just ordered the car yesterday, so I won't have it for a while still..But it'll be a near-fully loaded Focus Titanium hatchback, with leather, the 8" touchscreen MyFord Touch system and 10 speaker stereo w/subwoofer, sunroof, 18" wheels... oh, and it can park itself!Mine will look exactly like the attached pic!

Sounds like a really nice car. You'll have to let us know how it drives when you get it. Enjoy your new wheels!

I test drove both a 6-spd auto (DSG) model and a 5-spd stick model. The stick was mazda3-smooth but I ultimately decided to go with the DSG... which is quite the step for me since I've only ever owned stick cars. All in all the Focus seemed to drive really nice, and delivered a very quiet ride compared to my Vibe

If I had to get another car right at this very second, it would be a 2012 Focus. I love that car.

I freakin' LOVE that blue color! So vibrant. There's a blue hatch like that at the Ford dealer by my house that I see every day. Not sure why they haven't moved it yet, sure is pretty. You're right, not bad for a Focus. That's a Ford I would definitely consider, that speaks volumes since my father taught me to be a lifetime Ford-basher since birth. lol!

Last week, right on Woodward Avenue in Ferndale (just north of downtown Detroit) I saw what had to be a concept version of this 2012 Focus. It had a gunmetal gray theme, from the paint, to the rims, spoiler, etc. It didn't have SVT markings, but you knew it was the new 2012 with a lot of fun goodies already added to it (which makes me think it wasn't owned privately). If they release a quick version of this Focus, I may have found my next ride (somewhere around 2014-2015). If I see it again, I'll snap a pic. My Droid camera SUCKS at night. EDIT: It wasn't TOO far off from what this guy saw in 2009, but it was a four-door:

@jkm311Since you're in Detroit, it was probably a pre-production model of the Focus ST... 2.0L turbo (ecoboost) supposedly going to make 250-260 hp I think. This is it in a very very orange colour I think it's coming out sometime next year. It's like a Speed3 but angry.

@NeoukaSorry for not responding to the photo you provided. But I want to say that what I saw was your example... on steroids. I'm thinking parts bin happy hour-type stuff. I've never looked forward to the release of a Ford, and that is about to change in one year's time...

Picked it up today

I'm definitely in love with this car. Still have the Vibe until I have the time to get it certified, e-tested and sold, but for now it's been relegated to the back lot of our condo complex D:Here's a link to my post on the focus forum with a few more pics:

Yeah, so... I figured out what Focus I saw. It was the RS500 that everyone went ape-poop over last March (which would have included myself). And devoted a whole thread to:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...age=1I have *no* idea how I missed this thread of ours, but what's curious to me is that these are only supposed to be Euro rides. If it were to make an appearance in the states, Detroit would be the spot, but this puppy was debadged. I certainly would have remembered "RS500" on a hatch. I wish I could have looked in and discovered what "number" out of 500 it was. I'm *that* sure it's what I saw. I'm just laughing at myself for calling flat black "gunmetal" in my original account. Ha! The website, plus vids, is below – in case anyone else but me didn't hop on the thread train a year and a half ago. I'm such a rube:

Strange.. That car is based on the 2nd gen Euro Focus which we will never get. Maybe the corporation brought it over for a show or something. Either way, it's very hot!

The Focus ST Facebook page has launched with pics and vids (Some are ST-R racing videos, but still, thought I would share).
