Ok I finally decided I need a new phone. I am still on the LG Dare. I was waiting for the Iphone 5 but it keeps getting postponed. So, now I am looking for my options. I was thinking HTC Incredible 2, Iphone 4, or the new LG coming out soon. Any sugestions?

I have the iPhone 4 (AT&T) and love it. My friends who have had both android based phones and the apple phone prefer the iPhone. I don't know what carrier you are with, but with ATT you have 30 days to take the phone back and exchange for any reason. I might stay away from the WHITE iPhone 4 since they don't have any Otter boxes to fit them yet.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize, the same thing as the Fascinate on Verizon. I really like my phone, but it's not an iPhone. I chose to switch carriers to save money and still get the features I wanted, and gave up the chance at the iPhone. IMO I am satisfied with my phone.

I am on Verizon. I wanted to wait on the new Iphone but talking to the verizon rep they said the I5 is delayed again. SO in the fall they are said to release the Iphone 4.3 which is a slightly upgraded I4. Hence why I started the topic. I cant keep my current phone charged for a day or even a full conversation. I will talk on the phone, it dies. I turn it back on and it has a little charge. I am debating on a new battery, or new phone now....

It seems that I am of the minority on this, but I've got an HTC Evo thru Sprint running Android 2.2 (Froyo). I've had it for just about a year now and haven't had any issues. Personally I prefer it to the iPhone but honestly there isn't much difference anymore. If the iPhone can do it, chances are Android can as well (and vice versa)...except for flash, and I wouldn't expect that to change on the new iPhone.

Where do we begin....Innumerable software glitches.Returning of failed phones for refurbished units.Returning of refurbished units as they fail.I've heard and personally experienced too much trouble with them. It's not worth the time or effort. Get a Blackberry or or an iphone, I hear the 5 comes out this fall which means there will be some good deals on the iphone 4!!!

I think there is a trade off when you consider iOS (iPhone) vs Android. The iPhone is less likely to have software/hardware issues (due to Apple's highly stringent control over both) BUT its also significantly less customizable than the Android. With Android, google is much more hands off so carriers and manufacturers are allowed more freedom in how phones are equipped and used BUT this can invite more points of failure.Honestly I think its a personal preference, just like car companies or favorite restaurants - its barely quantifiable to say one is clearly better than the other. Like i said, its been about a year for me with my Android and I haven't had a single problem. I'm sure you will find iPhone users that can say the same

I went through 7 Android devices in 8 months. Switched to iOS and haven't had a problem yet. It is true that Android is more customizable, but if you just want it to work, get an iPhone.

The main downside to the iPhone is having to deal with iTunes. Then again, that's the downside to getting an iAnything. I refuse to let that program touch my computer, so I don't have an iPhone... but if that doesn't bother you, then it's a great phone (one of the best touchscreens out there). Full disclosure: I am personally an Android user, which works best for me because I use a lot of google products (gmail, google calendar, gchat, etc.) so the automatic sync is best for me.

I'm an Android user and love my HTC Hero (but it does have its moments, as does any phone). I just hate Apple. I'll do anything I can to avoid relating to those Apple freaks, all the way to hiding the Apple logo on the Iphone I use as an Ipod (funny, it works better as an Ipod than as a phone). The whole 'cult' of it, and the following of Steve Jobs... But, being somewhat more objective, my dad is a hardcore phone user, and if a phone can survive him, it's a good phone. He went through I think three 3GS' before obtaining an Iphone 4. So far so good, I hate to say. My sister had a Hero for under a year with major issues the first 8 months (which were remedied), but she has a new phone, another Android. I'm hooked on Android, personally. I support Google and their doings (sort of) and like the whole atmosphere and user-friendliness provided by Android phones. That, and I have Sprint service. I'm not saying I'd have an Iphone if I had Verizon or AT&T, but I don't always like to go with the flow, really. I'm weird like that.
