Hello all,Just bought a 2009 Vibe GT 2 weeks ago. Love it so far. I just wish I had been able to find a manual transmission since that's all I've ever driven, but so far I'm very pleased with my Vibe. I'm hoping to do some minimal mods to the engine (CAI, exhaust, etc.). I welcome any suggestions or resources. Also, has anyone replaced the stock subwoofer with a larger, more powerful one? I'd like to but I want to use the stock box that's built into the wheel well.

Welcome to GenVibe!!! Sorry about the slushbox.... but there are a few members here who've crafted much bigger subs!

Welcome to GenVibe! Great to see another '09 GT owner join !As far as a CAI goes, there's only one way to go... K&N Typhoon. Although it looks like an SRI, K&N actually considers it a CAI because there is a factory tube that runs up from behind the driver's side of the front bumper and pushes cooler air into the factory airbox. It does the same with the K&N, so therefore it is considered a CAI. Many '09-'10 2.4L members here have it, including myself, and absolutely love it. It gives the engine a nice growl, increases horsepower by 9.06 (according to K&N) and improves gas mileage 1-2 mpg (once you get over the initial phase of stepping on the gas to hear the new engine sound ).FYI we love pictures around here, so be sure and post some when you get a chance .

Welcome Just curious which dealer you purchased your Vibe from. When I was looking for another Vibe, I checked some out from : Sellers in Farmington, Suburban Infiniti of Novi, Vyletel in Sterling Heights, Randy Wise in Milan, Simms in Clio, and Don Rypma in Whitehall. Ended up heading the other direction and got one in Cincinnati Post pics soon and visit here often. Very nice choice by the way

Glad to have you here!I can't imagine needed a bigger sub! With the thin insulation in the Vibe, everyone can hear me going down the street and they can see the rear view mirror vibrating and they know exactly who the culprit is!
