Hi Everyone,Our Vibe's have Dexcool ( RED ) in them and it is a surprise for me , because I bet the Matrix does not...Why would they use it in a Toyota engine???Dexcool will get very accidic if you do not change it after 4-5 years , the green thing is not as hard on the system...Did any of you change the antifreeze on your Vibe ???Thanks : Anton

The 09 manual specifies Dexcool, put I'm 99% sure that the factory coolant is Toyota Long Life Antifreeze, which is pink colored. Whoever wrote the GM manual probably copied and pasted a lot.

Yes, the Toyota coolant is red, but I had my rose colored glasses on; thus the discrepancy in hues.

http://www.globalautoparts.biz....htmlToyota long life is red. Toyota super long life 50/50 pre-diluted (do not add water) is pink. 09-10 vibes and I think all new Toyota's come with the pink stuff now.

A 65-35 mix should be sufficient for -46C...
