I just found out froma member there that the site is down because they can't pay their bills. They are looking for a buyer. Bummer! There was a lot of useful info on that site.

Well perhaps if they would keep some of their members and mods under control they would attract a more mature group that has some money. They let these guys (including Mike Powah or whatever) run around and flame everyone. Haters will get you no where fast. You can express a negative opinion without being a jerk. I've wrote several times to the mods about a few issues and never heard back. I hope they get it back online but I hope they reel in some of these people and I'll make a donation. EDIT: I hope those mods read this!

Hopefully we don't get an influx of idiotic people here.

Well it seems that this "family" seems to take care of their own. We don't like haters but constructive critisim is always welcome. The mods here do a fine job of that.

This site is worth it! The only reason I registered on 9thgen (& had 9 posts) was because there were so many living near me who seemed like nice guys. The rest were a bit immature and I felt waaay too 'proper' compared to them.

I was considering making a donation up until 2 weeks ago when I got into with MikePowah(sp?), his minons and their hateful crap. I watch them run several good people off that site. I complained to the other mods but they were useless

All these sites have had issues. Perhaps 9thgen has been the most stable of the bunch, up until now. If genvibe had a donation setup I'd help out. MO has had it's issues lately but even with the ads and donation I doubt anyone is making the "BIG BUCKS" on these sites.

They need $300 per month from members to get the site back up and running. They already had corporate sponsors. Maybe they need more corporate sponsors or charge the existing one's more.

In order of issues.MONewcelica9thgentoyotanationgenvibeGenvibe is the best out of the bunch.MO has had issues for years, I don't think you were around for the drunk night incident were you? where Eric decided he was going to shut down MO because everyone was complaining, rather than fix the issues.New celica is painfully slow, it's like watching a 400meter special olympics, waiting for pages to load.9th gen, though stable is filled with non helpful idots who would rather poke fun then make a helpful suggestion.Toyota nation, though i must admit I don't or haven't spent much time there... because it's a slow board geared twards all toyota's and it could be weeks before a matrix topic is posted, and if it is it's posted on MO as well because it's the same member.Genvibe is good for one down time once a year for updates usually lasts 2-3days at most. Though the oldest of the forum software and lacks many features other sites now have as a standard. The members are friendly, mods aren't too pushy LOL and questions are answered pritty quickly

I have noticed with NC and TN it can be very slow. 9thgen had great info but some crappy people and mods. MO is a balance between Genvibe and 9thgen as far as people and info. But regarding website issues yes MO is perhaps the worst.

When a company starts building a car that is enthusiast-less(?) then there won't be as many people online trying to tinker with it or learn about it. That can also explain a drop in presence, along with the immaturity. There is plenty of it at the TCL on Vortex as well, but some of the posts are worth reading, just don't bother posting cause you won't see responses or make a difference.
