To get an idea of where an Ohio meet should be held, and how many Vibers MIGHT show up, please cast your vote...

Personally, I don't care....Just the fact that it needs to be "centeralized" to get the maxium amount of people! The biggest thing with me is, allowing enough time to let work know to get a day off! (we do schedules by every 4 weeks) I hope we can get some Indiana and all the Michigan people there!

WTG Ohio members. This is a good start for your meet to find out what members want.

Centralized will also allow for members from surrounding states, like MI, PA, IN, etc. to travel an acceptable distance.

Since a lot of Vibes from Ohio came to our Mich meet --I would make every effort to attend theirs. I voted for the Findlay/Sandusky area. James

If we get one closer to the OH/PA border, everyone from PA and WV, could show up too.

couple hours, not too bad. But that's from the Ohio border. If coming from PA it would be alot longer.

i heard Summit Racing, that's in Tallmadge, OH right outside Akron, will help sponsor shows like this.

I would def try to come to the Ohio meet and I am pretty Sure SOme of the other MI member would like to as well

As long as the meet is somewhere in July or August, I will be there.(I'm already planning a trip to Cedar Point for my brothers and I, so to put them all in the same time-frame would be most excellent! )

Days Go By, folks!!Since it looks like the most response is from the NW Ohio area, someone there needs to pick up the ball and run with it.

Pick a location and date, members will come.

I really would like to hear more from the other non-responsive (so far) Ohio members if they are still around. It would be great to pick a location within about a week, finalize it, and still make it accessible by mostly everyone that has expressed interest in attending.I don't mind driving, but I know it wouldn't be fun for some that live in SE Ohio and have to drive all the way to the NW corner for a meet that could be centrally located. The possibilities are endless...However, another one , the choice in the poll that gets the most votes must then be acceptable by the majority of interested members, so there is no problem there either.So if any of that made sense, let's get more interested members votes and opinions in this thread and we'll make it happen.

Actually, I'll fess up, it was me who added the SE Ohio option...I'd love to come out to one, and the SE corner is the closest to me.

Looking at the map.. Findlay isn't as bad as I thought. For some reason I thought it was in the extreme NW, where as it's more inland of the NW region.

Doesn't really matter to me either... Dayton, Columbus, NW Ohio. Any of those places and I'm going for sure. As for planning it, just IM me if anyone cares to get the ball rolling.

OK. Let's finalize general location picks on FRIDAY JULY 11. Then once confirmed, we will set a firm date and call for a place to host the meet.As of right now, I would recommend the last half of August as a possible date range (first of the month is the NE US meet over in PA/NJ border) and so far the location may be NW Ohio being that has the most votes and most members in this thread seem to agree this would be ok so far. We'll give it until the date above just to be sure.We also have Mansfield and Dublin areas (more centralized)... Get your opinion out in the thread before we decide (if you haven't already).

i would really like to see it more centralized. I think you could get more WV and PA people if located around Columbus.

I would have to agree with GT_03, not that I didn't enjoy meeting all of the people at the MI meet (it was a blast). I'm sure some of them will even come down to the Ohio meet as well. Central Ohio, for an Ohio meet would just be fair to everyone in all the surrounding states as well... trying to make the drive about even for everyone.

All I know is, this seems promising for a good vibe presence, give me enough notice, I'm gonna make sure I make a solid effort to make this one!

If there is a meet, I am going to try and make it. I don't know for sure, but I sure will make an honest effort to get there. I want to show the support for an Ohio meet that we got for our Michigan meet.

Depending on location and work schedule, i should be there. I got to meet 2 other members and it was great, i can't imagine like 50 members. It would rock

Wherever it is in Ohio, I will be there as long as it's not the weekend of the 16th. Columbus would be good - central Ohio so lots of people could be there. So, who will take the prize for "farthest drive" this time?

OK. After some looking around and the response from this thread, I'd like to throw out some 'preliminary' meet details. Columbus-ish sounds good to me... again, fair to all surrounding states is nice. Makes the drive a little more tolerable and less harsh on the elbow, cause the center console armrest is kind of rough during those long treks since it has no padding. *wow... that was way off the topic*I won't be making the record drive this time though. Only about 1 1/2 hours for me... not the 4-5 hour drive like it was to get the the MI meet (well worth it in every aspect though!)

Columbus area would be a good location. I been there many times. I think it's about 4 hour drive for me. Hell, I can do that (4 hours) on the crapper at work.

If guys from Michigan want to come (like me) we'll make the drive. We didn't make the michigan meet near the border of ohio did we? We still had a great turn out from Vibes across the mid-west. I think you'd still get a good turn out in somewhere near central ohio.

Oh man! 8/23 is out for Cathy and me. I have a Grand Am meet in Albany, NY the 23-34 that has been in ink on the calendar since winter. I really wanted to make the Ohio meet.
