What do you always keep in your Vibe?

Greetings! I was organizing the stuff I keep in my car today and thought it'd be interesting to find out what other people keep with them in their cars at all times. My everyday carry, of sorts, includes:- Tire pressure gauge (which isn't uncommon at all but I didn't have one in there until today when I found an extra in the garage)- Chewing gum: I'm a junkie for gum so I have to keep a bunch of it in the center console.- Cleaning supplies: I love my California Duster and water blade. The duster is great for cleaning off the dust that accumulates between washes and the blade is awesome for drying off the car after a wash. I also keep cleaners for the glass and dash on hand. Aside from the duster, I don't need to use these very often. It is nice to have them in the car so I can get to them whenever I do end up needing them.- A car charger for my phone- A blanket and pillow, bagged up tightly and stashed in the rear compartments.- A bag with a bunch of safety/emergency items (flashlights, batteries, jumper cables, first aid supplies, small tools, and a bunch of other small things). My mom gave me this for Christmas and I've been adding things to it over the past few months. The most useful thing has been a small yet surprisingly bright tactical flashlight that I bought online. I'm tempted to get a few more to keep in the garage and around the house. This stuff stores away nicely so it doesn't make the car feel cluttered at all, which is very nice. I don't have to worry about taking any of the stuff inside so it's always there when/if I ever need it.So what are some of the things that you always have in your Vibe?I apologize if this has been done before in the past. I tried searching but I couldn't think of good search terms to use.

- Roll of shop towels (great for toweling off after car washes)- Sunglasses (in the sunglasses holder, where they magically fit) and husband's sunglasses (which he annoyingly keeps in the cupholder)- Reusable bag http://www.flipandtumble.com/ which fits perfectly in that useless compartment to the left of the steering wheel- "Cars"-style sun visor (shown in my garage thread)- Assorted CDs in a small case (in the glove compartment)- Random electronic crap I haven't sorted through (center console, bottom)- Pen and Vehicle Mileage book (in the top of center console)- First Aid Kit (back)- Phone charger, bluetooth charger, GPS and Radar Detector which I rarely use (out)- Heavy Blanket, Shovel, Scraper, Snow Suit (winter months only, in the back behind the "built in soccer mom organizer" as I like to call it)- Ibuprofin and Excedrin, because I get headaches (in the glove box)- Assorted napkins and plastic forks, there are many times when I need them (in the glove box)- Full size umbrella (between my seat and the door)- Small flashlight (glove compartment)EDIT because I forgot: Tire Pressure Gauge (glove compt), Bungee Cords (in the back under the organizer), Purdue Fuzzy Dice (up during football season, otherwise stored under the organizer in the back) and of course the Owner's Manual and insurance stuff (glove compt). Also a coupon for free interior cleaning at Delta Sonic, which I'll be using at the beginning of April.

I keep my adapter for the A/C plug (so that plugs CAN actually fit). Small yellow page directory.Wads of paper napkins stuffed into the center console (I figured they'd be useful for something- with lightning-fast reflexes, and Protective Mother Mode, I caught a mosquito on the A-pillar once) Pens, expired coupons, good for scratch paper. Tire gauge, baby's CD. All my store "membership" cards stay in the car because I cannot stand a fat, cluttered wallet. Stroller stays in the car, carseat stays in the car, seat protector to protect seat from dents of all that weight. Kid-sized neck rest, in Neptune color. It worked well until kid started moving around a lot more and now flings it off. Leakproof "PoochPads" protecting the cargo mat from emergency diaper changes, also protects cargo from getting scuffed from the stroller.A travel size box of wipes and half a dozen diapers, always OCD about refilling what was used. I'm sure there's more, but can't think of them now...

Lots of TRUE important stuff listed .... BUT, for me it's an emergency stash of MONEY Yep.... you never know when your wallet is empty, you get those late night cravings, and .... well ... you remember the emergency stash of money hidden somewhere in the car This has bailed me out MORE times than not. One time in particular where my credit card would not work and I was at a gas station (riding on the fumes) and had to use my emergency $$$ to get gas, I generally carry very little if any cash on me at all anymore

^^^^^^^a bunch of good lists here.My in-car contents very seasonally, like the rest of the northerners.Spring/summer/fall-Golf equipment (minus the clubs/bag) - I've probably wasted a few drops of fuel hauling dozens of golf balls over the years. -tennis racquet and some running shoes (though I haven't played tennis in about 3 yrs)-sandalsWinter:-emergency blanket-knee-high snow boots-scraper/brush-curling shoes and broom Year round-portable GPS-a rotating collection of 5-6 CDs-tape measure, and adjustable wrench -work boots-map book of the City and area (in case the GPS dies, which hasn't happened in 5 yrs)-3 plastic grocery bins

Wow, I feel so unprepared compared to the rest of you .- radar detector (it's hard wired, so it's always in there)- garage door opener in the little flip down compartment by the driver's left knee- sunglasses in the sunglass holder- two small black cases filled with CDs in the glovebox- owner's manual, pen, small notebook (where I keep track of maintenance), registration and insurance card in the fancy black owner's manual holder thingy that came with the Vibe- cheapy tire pressure gauge in the upper center console- XM channel list in the lower center console- snow brush (in the winter it's on the floor behind the front seats for easy access, the rest of the year it's in the long storage compartment under the floor directly behind the rear seat in the cargo area)I hate having stuff in my car. Everything listed above is neatly hidden away so it doesn't bother me .

I like the idea of keeping pain killers in the glove box. It seems like they'd come in handy and take up practically no space at all. There's been a lot of other good ideas posted here, too. This reminds me that I should clean up my glove box. I have a ton of cable slack from my rear USB, rear aux, and LED light controller. I should also grab some napkins and wet wipes to have on hand in case of a mess.

I forgot in my earlier post that I have a short handle coal shovel in the car. I carry it all winter and usually use it two or three times a year to dig myself out when stuck. On the topic of an emergency cash stash; I bought a Nissan 300ZX used some years ago. After having it for a while I found a $100 bill stashed away. So if the previous owner is on here...THANKS FOR THE CASH!

Nice! The previous owner was probably a drug dealer. They are said to always have $100 bills on them.

Based on the long list of stuff some of you have, do you have to make two trips to get a weeks worth of groceries?Anything other than a 9mm (with extra clips) is a waste of space.

I always keep a tire pressure gauge, a flashlight, and some paper towels (in case there's a spill, I need to check oil on the fly, etc.). That's about it.

Hmm I keep in my vibe a flashlight, extra lug nuts, tire pressure gauge, microfiber towels and a small really soft whatever material kind of small car duster...as that control panel collects a lot of dust really quick and i've already put one to many scratches on it by cleaning it really urkes me about those scratches Uh in the back I have jumper cables under the spare tire, my huge ice scraper/brush and squeege for when I wash my car and want to take off the water or most of it anyway without using any towels and risk any more scratches that I have on my paint job from the careless previous owner (darn you (removed) door closers!) luckily they come apart so they fit under the cargo area on the top part that was really useless for anything else lol. Thats about it right now, I keep my car really clean.
