Hi Geoneone (interesting name--what does it mean?), welcome to the site!Have you checked the blower resistor? That might be the culprit. Here are a couple of threads to look at:

I was thinking of just saying "broken fan needs replacing" but you all said it pretty much so I didn't say a word
