Interior lighting questions

I've been digging around for the last couple days trying to find a thread about this, and I begrudgingly admit defeat. What is safe to tie into in the interior? I'm pretty much just needing +12V and grounds for a bunch of interior LEDs I'm wanting to run throughout the inside, as well as power for white LED underglow that's in the back of my mind.I'm just worried about overloading a circuit and blowing something critical.I know the option of using empty sockets on the fuse box is always an option, but I've never done something like that, and I'd be paranoid about messing it up.Thanks!!!-Ryan-

It will protect the current circuit and allow you to add another.googleadd a circuitBesure you buy the correct one... they make them in the standard size fuse and mini fuse.

^What keith said these things are awesome. Make installing accessories in cars a breeze. This is what I'm using to run the LED's in my car.

I had no clue something like this existed.correct.You pull out the fuse where you want to pull power from, then the fuse you pulled goes in to position 1, then add in another fuse(3,5,10,15amp)(depending on what you are running) to position 2 (where the wire comes out of) Plug it back in to the location you just pulled fuse 1 from and you are set. You might need to trim the cover for the fuse panel.

They really do look like it'd make wiring up aftermarket accesories a breeze. Now the hard part is deciding if I want to to the lights first, or get new wheels

Those are great, if you want a bunch of crap sticking out of your fuse block... I've got one of these...
http://bluesea.com/category/5/21/productline/126I guess for low amp draw stuff... that tap is ok.. I just don't like the idea of the circuit draw+ whatever gets piggy backed..

I'm planning on adding one circuit for underglow, one for interior, and one for each of the front heated seats, and if I get real crazy, rear heated seats. So which option would be best, the additional block, piggyback fuses, or trying to use empty spots on the factory fuse block?

If you are adding HEAT to anything, you want a block, DO NOT EVER trust ANYTHING that produces HEAT to something JANKY...

That makes sense Sublimewind. Where's the best place to pick one of those up, and is there a brand I should stay away from?

Blue Sea Systems, I'm sure you can figure the rest out... And all I'm saying is, consider WHAT you are doing, before you do it, with anything, not just this, you have to consider the ramifications of your actions and the mods you do..
